Carroll grand jury issues 84 indictments

HILLSVILLE — A Carroll County grand jury issued 84 indictments and sealed six after meeting for its spring session Monday.
An indictment is a formal charge, not a finding of guilt.
Those named in the indictments include:
• Riley Dale Alley, shoplifting
• Chase Kiran Altice, two counts each of grand larceny and statutory burglary for incidents at the home of William B. Webb and Keith and Beulah Bryant
• Juan Benitez, two counts of possession of a schedule II drug, Oxycontin, with intent to distribute Xanax
