WILSON, N.C. — Not many specifics came out in relation to AmerLink Log Homes debts in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, including the incentive monies that the company owes to Carroll County, Va.
AmerLink received a total of $600,000 from state economic development agencies to create a promised 200 jobs and start up a saw mill and related efforts in Carroll County.
But the jobs and the facility never materialized and the company moved to declare Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February as it owed more than $20 million in debt to more than 200 creditors.
