STUART –– Carroll County gave up an early touchdown and responded with 48 unanswered points, finishing its season with a 48-6 nondistrict win Friday over Patrick County.
Patrick County (0-10) scored on the third play of the game before the Cavaliers (3-7) took over. Logan Hodges scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and Patrick Davis added another for a 20-6 lead. Carroll stopped a Patrick drive with less than a minute left in the first half when Davis came up with an interception inside the Cavalier 5-yard line.
Carroll pulled away with 28 unanswered points in the second half.
Hodges ran 16 times for 130 yards and the two scores, Brooks Hash carried six times for 97 yards and two touchdowns and Davis scored three rushing TDs. Connor Lundy was 4-of-5 passing for 49 yards as the Cavaliers rolled up 353 yards of offense.
