HILLSVILLE — Carroll County Circuit Court has unsealed a number of direct indictments issued in the Sept. 15 grand jury session.
It is common practice for the court to seal indictments until people named in the warrants can be served.
An indictment is a formal charge and not a finding of guilt.
Charges alleged in the unsealed indictments include:
• Tory Leigh Waller, embezzlement from the Ruth Hall Insurance Agency.
• Nicky Lee Dixon, conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act, and distribution of marijuana.
