A Fries woman faces multiple drug charges after being stopped by a Galax officer on Tuesday.
According to a report from Police Chief Rick Clark, Officer Drew Burnett stopped a vehicle on Allen Lane in Galax on Jan. 21 for a traffic violation.

Angela Marie Bourne, 31, of Fries was a passenger in the vehicle.
Burnett’s observations after the stop resulted in Bourne’s arrest for possession of methadone, hydrocodone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia; and possession with intent to distribute.
The driver was charged with operating a vehicle after his license had been suspended, Clark said.
Bourne was transported to the New River Valley Regional Jail and held on a $10,000 bond pending her appearance in the Galax General District Court.
