Babysitter charged with teen's assault

HILLSVILLE — A Hillsville woman has been arrested and charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a minor. Tammy Stuckert, 37, of Hillsville, was charged with rape and attempted sodomy that allegedly occurred while she was babysitting the juvenile at her home at Laurel Ridge Apartments on June 21. Police were called to investigate after the juvenile’s mother contacted the department, according to a report from Sgt. Alan Gravley of the Hillsville Police Department. Patrolman Robby Martin initially responded to the complaint, and turned the case over to Gravley to follow up.
