Amber Michelle Anderson of Fries and James Graham Tate of Max Meadows were united in marriage June 28, 2013, by the Rev. Tony Funk at Fries Baptist Church in Fries.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff Cole and Sharlene Sapp of Fries. She is the granddaughter of Junior and Darlene Anderson and Pauline Cole and the late Bobby Cole. She is the great-granddaughter of Dorothy Vaughan.

She graduated from Grayson County High School. She works at McDonald’s.
The bridegroom is the son of James R. Tate of Max Meadows and Rebecca Irvin of King, N.C. His grandparents are Herman and Susan Tate and Roy and Susie Dunford.
He attended Fort Chiswell High School. He works at C&B Lumber in Fries.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and children, Jace Gray and Kelley Gravley.
Maid of honor was Autumn Cole, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Stephanie Saul, cousin of the bride; and Angel Davis and Heather Sapp, sister-in-law of the bride.
Best man was James R. Tate, father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Justin Poole, Doug Davis and Eric Sapp, brother of the bride.
Kelley Gravley was flower girl.
The groom’s nephew, Theodore Tate, was ringbearer.
Timberly Shupe, aunt of the bride, was wedding director, and was assisted by Patricia Jennings.
Jamie Sandefur was photographer. Dwayne Shupe, uncle of the bride, provided sound and music.
The reception was given by the family of the bride and groom at the church.
They will reside in Fries.
