INDEPENDENCE — A Grayson County grand jury issued indictments for 21 people last Friday on charges ranging from larceny theft of a banjo to possession of methamphetamine and other drugs.
Some of the most notable charges were for Randy Lee Anders, who allegedly made threats to law enforcement and was shot multiple times by Grayson County deputies in an incident that occurred April 29.

He was charged with two counts of assault on law enforcement. Anders allegedly assaulted deputies Brad Brown and Alan Graham during the incident. He appeared in court for a preliminary hearing last week and will return for his official trial at a later date.
Other notable charges included those against James Brandon Blevins, who was charged with larceny with the intent to sell stolen property and grand larceny for allegedly stealing a banjo valued at more than $200 from James Dean Blevins.
