AmerLink, Carroll closer to settlement

WILSON, N.C. — Negotiations between Carroll County and AmerLink's bankruptcy trustee are wrapping up with the parties sending the final piece of the settlement to the court for approval.
Just before Christmas, attorneys filed a motion in federal court to approve the settlement between Pro-Form Construction, AmerLink and Carroll for the 32 acres of land that acted as an incentive in the economic development deal for the log homes company to create 200 jobs.
