Allen injured in work-related accident

It happened at Love's truck stop in Lambsburg Monday

LAMBSBURG — The owner/operator of a Fancy Gap garage remained in a North Carolina hospital Tuesday after a work-related accident Monday at Love's Truck Stop.

Emergency officials said that Victor Allen was attempting to tow a recreational vehicle when it rolled off and struck and injured him.

Volunteers from Cana Rescue Squad and fire department responded to the scene after E-911 calls at about 4:11 p.m.

Reports from witnesses were that the incident occurred in front of McDonald's at the truck stop off Interstate 77's Exit 1.

 Cana Rescue transported Allen to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem for treatment, where he remained in the intensive care unit Tuesday in serious condition.
