2011 break-in suspect charged

INDEPENDENCE ― The Independence Police Department arrested a man on Aug. 30 in connection with a 2011 break-in at Aunt Bea’s restaurant on Main Street.
Christopher R. Wilson, 30, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny for allegedly breaking into the restaurant on Nov. 28, 2011. He was located in Salisbury, N.C.
According to the initial report after the incident, a burglar alarm sounded at 2:50 p.m. the day of the break-in. When Grayson County deputies arrived approximately seven minutes later, they found a window broken in a side door, but no one inside. Damage to the door was estimated at around $500.
Police Chief James Wagoner said an undisclosed amount of change and currency was taken, and the suspect had apparently exited the rear door. Nothing else was taken.
The investigation was carried out by the police department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Department.
