10 injured in wreck

HILLSVILLE — Ten people, six of them children, had injuries as the result of an Aug. 5 multiple-vehicle accident at U.S. 58 west of Airport Road.
Seven of the injured were transported to Twin County Regional Hospital after the incident involving four vehicles, according to First Sgt. Mike Musser of the Virginia State Police.
None of the injuries were thought to be life-threatening.
It happened when Debra Smith of Galax, driving a 1993 Chevy van rear-ended a 1991 Ford Explorer driven by Mitzee Mangan of Hillsville.
