Whether by coincidence or the fact that it was Martin Luther King Day, it was an extremely slow news day on Monday in the sports department. Neither Carroll County, Galax nor Grayson County had anything scheduled for Monday.

Nobody brought in any pictures of a giant catfish, a 12-pointer or an AAU team. Not even a photo of a turnip that looks like Tim Tebow.
